One of WBFH’s spirited personalities, Alexandria is very much involved in the daily operations of the radio station. She has taken a keen interest in the role that personality plays in winning over and keeping an audience. She is studying the role that great programming has in a radio station’s success.
You’ll always see Alexandria at station remotes, community events or club gatherings, because she cares about her community. She’s a cheerleader for all things concerning The Biff!
Cameron is awesome because...he tells the staff on a daily basis!
Great personality is hard to find on the radio dial these days, but The Biff has lucked out in recruiting Cameron to the airwaves. His great sense of humor and his ability to entertain on any given subject are quickly endearing him to listeners throughout the listening area.
Tune in to listen to a future broadcasting superstar!
Jordan is a hardworking, determined broadcaster who is enjoying her very first semester on staff. She brings a great deal of personality and sass to The Biff and is always ready to have a little fun with her listeners.
She is extremely competitive; always wanting to win in everything she does, whether she's playing basketball on the Black Hawk Varsity Girls' Team, or for her travel team. Jordan is always in it to win it.
One thing Jordan wants you to know is that she's not afraid to show off her sassiness and humor. So watch out and get ready to have good laugh when you tune in her broadcast!
These are just a few of the non-decipherable things being said by someone about Jim’s Jamz, a show of music heard on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. on Bloomfield Community Radio WBFH-The Biff.
Jim Ochs is your host for two enjoyable hours of his record collection and mostly off-the-cuff conversation.
Emma likes to compete; she thrives on competition. You’ll find among her many interests: debate, forensics, public speaking, competitive ice skating and broadcasting. It’s only natural for someone with a great talent for speaking and performing to find herself on one of metro Detroit’s prominent community radio stations.
Emma is enjoying her third semester on The Biff and always looks forward to planning her next broadcast. Be sure to tune in to hear her take on music and pop culture.
When not involved with the girls’ varsity basketball team, Black Student Alliance or Link Crew, Imanni can be found behind the microphone, playing some of the best music on the airwaves. She talks about current events, what's happening with the record charts and plays a splash of throwbacks; just enough to give her show some flavor.
Imanni plans to pursue journalism studies in college, becoming adept at writing, producing and performing for print, radio and television outlets.
For fans of theatre, nothing is better than blending theatre and smooth, relaxing café music together on the airwaves. Each week, Noah and Roni will be discussing all things Broadway, as well as playing music genres ranging from 1970s to contemporary American songs.
And don’t forget to tune in each week at 6:00 p.m., for the weekly Horrible Horoscopes!
Levi is a stage technician, DJ and music fanatic. He listens to hip hop, pop, reggae, jazz, oldies and new hits. His philosophy is this: the better the beat the more attentive your audience is. Crank It Up captures the attention of all ages to listen and compels listeners to crank the radio up. Part of Levi’s inspiration for his show’s name is his relentless urge to crank up the volume on his radio when his favorite song is playing on The Biff.
An old name has been given new life at The Biff as WBFH Sports Director Patrick Marshall and co-host Brendan Lynn host a lively discussion about every sport imaginable. Sportscan has its roots going back decades and it’s only fitting that two of the most knowledgeable sports fanatics on staff produce a broadcast which breaks news stories and discusses current events in the world of sports.
Plus, there’s plenty of Black Hawk talk!
Nicholas loves listening to 80s rock and roll, punk and modern pop. He wants to share his enthusiasm for all music from all the eras; which is why he delves into the archives of The Biff. He loves to play music that over the years has been sadly forgotten. That’s why he treks Into the Vault every week. Just be careful—don’t get locked in and left behind—because once he leaves the premises, the door is locked; he only opens the vault once a week!
Nicholas’s achievements include musical proficiency (a proven fact); running a 5K (without collapsing); being a professional-manual-pool-float inflater, a qualified-food-leftovers eater and a certified make-any-situation-awkward person.
Music through the decades is the primary focus of Time Warped. Each week, a specific time and genre will be visited. For example, one week there may be a 50s sock-hop theme, celebrating the carefree lifestyle of postwar America; or the next week there may be a visit to the laid-back times of the late 1960s. Who knows, maybe even a visit to the Roaring Twenties?
There’s plenty besides the music: trivia and facts about the artists, bands and songs.
Also, Sofi K and Adrian keep things modern with discussions about local events, public service announcements, BHHS sports and more.
Kaylie and Austin both love music, but Kaylie is not a big fan of sports. So, what happens when the two of them sit down to entertain Bloomfield Hills? That’s a good question. Each broadcast is guaranteed to be compelling.
There’s plenty of today’s hits, yesterday’s favorites and great topics.
Jack believes that any form of rock and roll is fair game; as long as it fits on the turntable. His favorite genre is punk and metal.
Vinyl Rock Prod 4500 features today’s top rock songs with emphasis of either one or two albums each broadcast. Jack discusses each and every selection he plays and encourages his listeners to call in with their commentary, too!
